Meet Our Elders/Pastors & Deacons

Dave and his wife Emily have been members of Grace Bible Church since 2010. Dave has served in a variety of roles over the years including elder, deacon, treasurer and a life group leader. Dave and Emily met at Hillsdale College in Michigan, where they both ran cross country and track. God blessed them with 5 very active children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. The family enjoys visiting National Parks, playing sports, hiking, swimming and being outdoors in God's creation. A verse that always challenges him is James 1:22, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Matt Ross joined Grace Bible Church in August 2026 as Lead Teaching Pastor, following nine years of ministry as an Associate Pastor at Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Originally from the Cincinnati area, Matt came to faith in Christ at the age of seven. During his college years, his faith grew tremendously through a ministry called Campus Outreach, where he developed a deeper love for Christ and His Church. Matt earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown College (Ky.), a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Biblical Counseling Certificate from the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF). Matt is married to Catherine, and they have two children. Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, drinking good coffee, and all things Cincinnati sports.

Matt gave his life to Christ when he was 13 years old. Matt met his wife Tammy at BGSU and were married in 1985. They have 7 children and have attended Grace Bible Church since 1992. Matt and Tammy love serving together particularly in the areas of marriage, parenting and counseling. Matt retired from his catering business of 25 years in 2020 and is looking forward to what the Lord has in store for this next phase of his life. A verse that helps Matt keep a proper perspective on the challenges of life is Lamentations 3:21-24 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.”

Ed Dannemiller and his wife Karen have been married for over 40 years. They have five daughters who grew up here at GBC and are blessed with eight grandchildren. Ed has been privileged to see God bless this church greatly as an elder here at GBC for over 25 years. Ed’s passion is life groups, preaching, the discipleship of men and the proclaiming of the gospel. A clinical cardiovascular pharmacist is Ed’s profession, but most importantly he takes seriously God’s command to all believers to be His minister of reconciliation reaching into the lives of our lost friends, family, and neighbors to bring the good news of salvation and the forgiveness of sins through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Rob has been worshipping at Grace Bible Church since 2004 and has served as an Elder, Deacon, Finance Team, Life Group Leader and many other positions along the way. Rob and his wife Sue graduated from Cedarville College where they met on the Cross Country and Track teams, they have 4 children and many grandchildren. Rob likes to run, hunt, fish and root for Michigan football, basketball and wrestling. A passage of Scripture that encourages him is Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths.”

Mike loves to share about his thankfulness to Jesus for His grace and mercy in his life, and also acknowledges God's grace in giving him Mary, his wife of over 38 years. They are blessed to have three children who are walking in the ways of the Lord. Mike enjoys outdoor events like fishing, swimming, and hiking as well as reading and learning from God's Word. Mike and Mary are true Boilermaker (College) and Packer (NFL) fans. They have been at Grace for more than 25 years and have grown to love the people of God! They have taught in the church youth program for many years, led an Awana program emphasizing the importance of God's Word, and led men and women in other discipleship areas. Mike shares, "All I can say is that God is always at work and we just want to join Him in His work."

Dale was born and raised in a small town in Western Ohio. While in high school he realized his need for salvation and became a Christ follower.  After high school, Dale went on to Ohio State where he received a degree in Pharmacy. During that time he met and married his wife of 54 years. He knew she loved the Lord and was everything he was looking for in a wife.  After graduation, they bought a house on the east side of Columbus and have lived in this area ever since. They have been part of only two churches since then, and have been at Grace for over 25 years. In 1990, Dale and his wife opened a small pharmacy in a medical building in Pickerington where they saw God‘s provision through the good and the lean times. After 25 years, they sold the pharmacy and moved on to semi-retirement. God has blessed them with three sons and now three granddaughters who are a delight to them. Dale shares, "I am thankful for the way God has blessed us during our entire lives, and I want to serve him well in whatever he calls me to do."
